Purpose of blog; ergo, a manifesto

Hi.
I'm interested in a lot of things, and think about them off-and-on quite a bit.  I like grand ideas of science and philosophy, and silly jokes about incongruously phallic objects or strange-sounding words.  However, I also like sports.  And as an intellectually-curious sports fan and fan of sports, I come up with some rules of games.
Sometimes I adapt existing sports, sometimes I try to invent a new sport in one of the obvious traditions: currently, two complicated football-sports, a cricket adaptation, semi-contact gridiron football, and a combat sport that could take mixed martial arts into university or Olympic programs.
I lack the resources to try out all these games; but it seems depressing to have a desk-drawer or a computer directory full of newly made-up sports just sitting there, unshared.
So I'm going to share some stuff.
There may also be rants about proposed changes to rules of actual, big-time sports, digressions on morality and sports cheating, and even things that are not sports-related.  I'm interested in a lot of things.
But for the purpose of this blog, mainly in rules of games that don't exist... yet.
